«Kaddish», directed by Konstantin Fam, entered the long list of candidates applicants for the American Golden Globe Award in the category «Best Foreign Language Film». The historical drama directed by Konstantin Fam «Kaddish» was selected on the preliminary list of applicants for the prestigious Golden Globe Award.
«Kaddish» tells about the fate of the violin, which went through all the horrors of the war, as well as how the will of a former prisoner of a concentration camp clashes and turns the lives of two young people, shedding light on the tragic history of their family.
The director, who had previously addressed the themes of the Holocaust in his works, dedicated this film to the memory of his mother.
The shortlist will be announced on December 9th.
Golden Globe Award, any of the awards presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) in recognition of outstanding achievement in motion pictures and television during the previous year. The presentation of the awards originated in 1944 as an endeavour of the newly formed Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association, a consortium of entertainment journalists based in Los Angeles, but working for publications outside the United States.
The 77th edition of the long-running awards show will take place on January 5, 2020 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California.
